Reasons to Use Fully Comp Insurance Cover for Tradesmen

If you are in the construction industry, then you will know how often accidents can happen, sometimes there is absolutely nothing you can do to prevent them, accidents happen. They can be very costly, especially if you cause damage to a customer’s property or, any machinery that you might be using. Sometimes injuries happen too that leave you unable to work, if you don’t have suitable insurance, then the costs could be too much to bear. Here’s why taking out fully comp tradesman insurance is a smart idea.

Fully comp protection

Fully comp insurance is the ultimate safety net for tradesmen, if you don’t have a policy already then speak with a local broker who can assist you based upon what your needs and what you do for a living, here is what’s included;

  • Public and products liability

You get legal protection against any future damage to third parties so, in the event of injuring somebody else or their property you don’t need to worry about any legalities.

  • Cover for your tools

A trades nightmare, if you’ve ever had tools stolen, then you know how personal it can feel, after all, your tools are your way of making a living. Damaged tools can mean downtime or an unexpected financial burden, too, fully comp tradesman insurance has your back on both fronts.

  • Income protection

If you become sick, it can really affect your performance, if things worsen then you may not be able to work which is why having income protection is so important, it even covers you for time off due to accidents.

  • Construction and plant equipment

The last thing you need is to be lumbered with costs for any construction or plant equipment that becomes faulty or damaged. Some of the equipment costs a small fortune, with fully comp, this particular worry would be a thing of the past.

  • Life insurance

Not something that any of us like to think about, but, being realistic, if anything were to happen to you then who will provide for your family? It’s an important question to be asking, one that is answered if you take out the correct policy.

Peace of mind, all of the time

Although most people won’t consider any of the above actually happening to them, until it does, when you look at what’s on offer it doesn’t make any sense to ignore the matter. Even if you only take out cover to protect you against sickness, it must be worth looking into, surely?
